1. Dusting

2. Urine Treatment

If required, your rug will be treated for urine with wool safe enzymes to break down the urine. Next we utilize special products to stabilize the pH prior to the full immersion cleaning. You see, urine also throws off the pH of your rug and in doing so the dyes can start to bleed once the rug gets wet. Keep in mind that while the odor is typically easier to remove, pet stains and the resulting damage is often irreversible.

3. Fringe Pre-Cleaning

Our detailed process can help brighten the fringe and often times return the fibers to like new again. We do not use any bleach based products which can cause damage to your cotton fringe. We will also attempt to correct dye bleed fringes that are the result of previous improper cleaning methods. Additionally, if your rug was subjected to water damage, soda, coffee or tea stains; we have the expertise to address these issues too.

4. Washing

Once any pre-cleaning treatments are completed, your rug will be submerged in our unique 1200-gallon Turkish bath wash tub. The wash tub uses a special, velocity appropriate star paddle to provide gentle agitation that mimics age old hand washing techniques. As your rug swims in the churning water, soils are removed and the appearance of your rug is renewed without the use of brushes, power spraying, scrubbing or other mechanical agitation that can damage the rug fibers. Specialized cleaning detergents, and a few secret ingredients, are added to aid in the cleaning process and to ensure that colors are restored to their very best appearance and that dye stability or dye transfer is never a problem.

5. Spotting

Once the rug has completed its bath, we will examine the rug and perform spotting if necessary to complete the cleaning.

6. Rinsing

One of the most important pieces of equipment we use is our rug ringer centrifuge. Few cleaners in the world are lucky enough to possess such a machine. Your rug will be rinsed with softened water and spun at 1,000 revolutions per minute; where the remaining soap, contaminants and particles are removed safely, gently and completely!

7. Drying

Your rug will be 98% dry by the time it finishes three minutes in the centrifuge and then hung on a special drying rack to complete the drying phase. The new drying chamber is a sealed off area that will allow your rugs to dry even faster. Combined with the added heat and dehumidifiers inside the unit, we can offer some of the fastest, safest drying times in the industry. We also verify with a hygrometer to ensure the rug is completely dry.

8. Polishing

The Tumble Duster is used to provide a finishing polish for your rug. The same tumbling action used to remove dust and debris also provides a perfect soft hand and beautiful sheen to the textile. It is very similar to putting a clean, clothes line dried shirt into the clothes dryer for a few minutes to soften the fibers.

9. Final Inspection

After all cleaning steps have been completed, all rugs received a final inspection conducted by the General Manager and our Certified Master Rug Cleaning Technician to ensure the best possible cleaning results have been obtained.
